     ODD Day  Schedule

Pledge of Allegiance

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all.”

Good morning, Newton! Next week is Spirit Week, and we would love to see all of your school spirit! See flyers around the building for themes and student council will make more announcement reminders.  Remember that this week is the only week you can buy early release passes for the Halloween Festival. Bring your $3 or 5 CODE cards to lunches today!

Attention student council members! Just a reminder that we have our next meeting after school today Oct. 23rd. See you in the library at 3:35pm.

Great job Newton Wrestling as they navigated an exciting dual against Euclid. There were some exciting matches that came down to the wire. Shout out to all of my leaders on the team; Caden Simpson, Ector Campbell, Cole Jackson, Hudson Morgan, James Delponte, Jude Van Duseseldorp and Yaxel Villanueva. We look forward to our next match on Thursday at Goddard.

A game: The Knights defeated Euclid in the opening game 45-20. They were led by Lila Wicks with 15 points. Malia Flemister chipped in 8 points,  Tanna Wicks added another 7, and Molly McCabe tallied 6 points to point the way to victory. Overall it was a great effort that was spearheaded by tenacious defense and rebounding.

B game:  In the B game the Knights won by a 30-6 margin. Hannah Storey lit up the scoreboard for 14 points while Payton Napolilli added 10 while adding some nice assists to her teammates as well. Kate Visscher, Megan Lea-Shaddox, and Ruby Salvador rounded out the scoring. Overall the team demonstrated excellent teamwork and won the game going away.

Flag Football Club Members have practice today after school at 3:30 on the field! See you there!

The first winner of the Teacher Code drawing this week is Mrs. Seavall from Mr. Enterline. Mr. Enterline said "Thank you for your I. T. support.  I appreciate it!"  And our second winner is to Mr. Marshall from Mrs. Verdie.  "Thank you for saving the day and stepping in to help interpret for a family during conferences.  You make a big difference in students' lives.  Thank you!"

Congratulations to the four of you.  Please come to the office and pick up your gift cards for being awesome!
