The yearbook staff has a request: they would like you to take a student-only survey on your grade level Google Classroom asking about what you love to do outside of school, what music you like and what's your favorite brand. You can take it anytime before or after school. Or check with your Knight Time study hall teacher to see if it’s okay for you to take it then. We want everyone to have a voice!
Today the CODE Shack will be open during lunch. Bring your CODE cards with you to the cafeteria as you will not be able to go back to your locker to grab them. You may spend up to 7 cards today. But remember to SAVE 6 of your cards so you can get a free ticket to the Halloween party coming soon

If we get to our goal of 150 participants, right or wrong, Mr. Wilmes will run the race in a dress and Ms. Ubrun will run the race in a suit and tie. I'm sure that's something we all want to see. Players should arrive approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled game. Bring a change of clothes so that Ms. Ubrun can collect jersey's after your matches. 
 
B team arrive by 10:30 for an 11:00 am game

8th grade Girls Basketball is just around the corner.  If you are interested in playing for Newton this year, there will be a brief informational meeting after school with Coach Conant in room 1372 on Wednesday, October 9th.  Make sure you have a ride home.  If you can't make the meeting stop by and see Ms. Timinski for a schedule. 


6th Grade Track --- you have a meet on Oct 3rd after school

The Littleton stride is coming up in about a month. Our goal is to have 150 participants  run on behalf of Newton Middle School. Currently Newton Middle School is in first place in the entire district for number of people to have signed up. Our current total of 61 participants. Students remember - if you do sign up for the race have your parents email Mr. Wilmes or Ms. Ubrun and you will receive a code card for every person entered in your group that is running for Newton. If we get to our goal of 150 participants, right or wrong, Mr. Wilmes will run the race in a dress and Ms. Ubrun will run the race in a suit and tie. I'm sure that's something we all want to see. Get signed up today!

Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Newton the week of Oct 21-25th. The library is looking for volunteers to help with the Scholastic Book Fair.  If you are interested in helping out with the book fair please pick up an application in the library.  Applications are due by Monday, October 8th.
