Picture retake day is Oct 23rd.
If you were absent on August 27th, you
will receive a pass to come to the mini theater
for your pictures that morning.
If you had your pictures taken and want a retake
  • Listen for an announcement on the PA in the morning
dismissing you to the mini theater
  • Bring your complete original packet with you
  • We do not do retakes for yearbook pictures


"Attention Wrestlers: Our first practice is today
right after school starting at 4:00.  Please go
right to the gym and help us set up mats.

Newton’s Yearbook Staff wants to include as many
students as possible in our yearbook. We’re looking
for photos of your out-of-school activities. Did you travel
this summer? Do you like to go hiking? How about gymnastics
or dance? Go to your grade level Google Classroom for
the website link, school code and directions on how to
upload a photo. Thanks for your help!


Attention 8th graders who participated in Track.  
Please return your WASHED jersey to Mr. Worsley or Ms. Trainer,
as soon as you can.  Thanks.


Attention 7th grade GIRLS:
If you are interested in playing basketball, there is still time to join.
 No matter what your ability level is, you are welcome to join!

Congratulations to the 8th grade choir, who had
a collaborative concert with the Cherry Creek Chorale
both Friday and Saturday nights.  Our Newton students
and choir received rave reviews and many compliments
from the adults, both in the chorale and the audience.
We are so proud of your work this weekend!

The Code Shack! All your old favorite
goodies and snacks plus a drawing for
your own Newton Spooky Halloween Adventure.
 Take a tour of the Newton Underground and
get to hear ghost stories from a professional
storyteller. You can spend up to 7 Code Cards
and enter the rest in the drawing.

form for you to attend Newton next year.

Attention all 7th grade girls!  If you are interested
in playing basketball for Newton this year, ther
e will be a short informational meeting in Mr. Worsley's
Room 1119, after school TODAY.  The meeting should
only take 10-15 minutes, so please arrange for a ride
home. All ability levels are welcome.

for leaving everyone a kind message on their locker
on Friday.  The messages were so sweet and much
appreciated. If you would like to keep your message,
please make sure that you tape it to the inside of your
locker between 2nd and 4th hours today.  The will be
cleaned up during 4th hour today. Thanks!

whole school year by including as many students as
possible. And we need your help! We’re looking for
photos of your out-of-school activities. Are you into
skateboarding? Martial arts? Guitar lessons? Any type
of after-school activity will be considered. Go to your
grade level Google Classroom for the website link, school
code and directions on how to upload a photo.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Newton Library on Monday Oct 22nd.  We are looking for volunteers to help with the book fair. If you are interested in helping out with the book fair please pick up an application in the library.  Applications are due back by Mon Oct 8th.


Chromebooks need to be charged each night for 8 hours.
 Plug you Chromebook into a working outlet. If your
Chromebook is charging correctly it will have a charging
light when you plug it in.  When powering up your computer,
DO NOT PRESS THE POWER BUTTON, this turns off the
computer. Just open up your computer and it should come
on by itself.  And of course remember to bring your computer
with you each day and have it fully charged.

Boys and girls 7th grade track teams-  Please turn in your
jerseys to Ms. Ubrun or Mr. Wilmes this week.

Congratulations to the boys and girls 7th grade track teams as they
swept Euclid. The girls team won by 25 points and showed great
heart and all around effort. The boys team came down to the final
Medley relay race. Newton swept first, second, and third and included
an exciting finish by Joe Kleeman where he passed the Euclid runner
right at the end to take third place- That third place finish earned
Newton the points needed to beat Euclid. Way to go Knights!
