 It is that time of year again when the 8th grade class thinks they have what it takes to try to win a competition against the staff. If you think you can "bring it" to kickball against the teachers, then sign up with Mrs. Jenkins or Mrs. J. Andrews. 

We will have our annual 8th grade vs. staff game on Monday, May 20th after school from 3-4 at the field. Space is limited to play!  Everyone is invited to come and watch!

Your yearbooks are here and they are ready to be distributed. 8th graders will receive their yearbooks during the Run with the Knights celebrations on Tuesday. 6th and 7th graders will receive their books during lunch next Wednesday. If you have not bought a book yet, we do have a few copies that will be for sale during distribution for $40.00, cash only, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Congratulations to all the band musicians who performed on last night's concert. It was an awesome performance, and was the result of your hard work and dedication.

Congratulations to the members of the Swiss American Trans-Atlantic Orchestra for performing in the Elitch Gardens Music Festival Saturday and receiving the gold award, the highest honor possible. The judges were extremely impressed with the performance.

 

You can see the Swiss/American Trans-Atlantic Orchestra in concert tonight at 7:00 in the Newton gymnasium. Please come an see this once-in-a-lifetime experience and to see our Swiss guests as well as our own Newton Orchestra members in action.

Attention 8th grade Volleyball players, your tournament is Saturday May 4th at Powell Middle School.  Please arrive at the following times.  C Team be at Powell at 7:30 for an 8 am match.  A Team arrive at 9:30 for a 10 am match.  B Team arrive at 11:30 for a 12:00pm match.  Access to the gym is through the lower entrance at the rear of the building.  If you cannot play on Saturday, see Ms. Timinski as soon as possible.

"LHS 8th graders~see you at Knight Time today in the mini theater."

 

 

Student government will be selling tickets all this week and next during 8th grade lunch for the dance on May 9th.  The cost is one dollar, one canned good, or one gently used toy.  75 tickets must be sold by Friday!  You need to have a ticket to leave your knight time class.  It will be a blast!!
