Thursday was an exciting night of volleyball as the Newton Lady Knights faced off against their crosstown rivals, the Goddard Vikings!

A TEAM came out of the gates a bit slow but quickly turned up the heat! They fought through challenges and found their rhythm with incredible net play and some absolutely unstoppable serving aces! Their momentum grew with each point, and they powered through for a 2-0 victory.

B TEAM also started slow in the first set, but once they found their groove, they carried that energy right into the second set. They finished strong, taking the win and proving that slow starts don’t stop strong finishes.

C TEAM gave it their all, battling the Vikings with grit and heart. They fought hard and came so close, but despite their best efforts, they just couldn’t pull off the win. A valiant effort, and they will be back stronger next time!

Congrats to A Team and B Team for their victories, and a huge shout-out to C Team for their fierce fight.

What a night of thrilling volleyball action here at Newton last night as we took on the Euclid Falcons.

A Team had an electrifying showdown against Euclid. With powerful, consistent serving and an unstoppable defense, they battled it out like true champions!

B Team brought their A-game too, fighting tooth and nail in THREE intense sets! Although they didn’t pull off the win this time, their heart, hustle, and relentless effort were on full display. They played with passion and gave the Falcons everything they had – we’re so proud of their grit and perseverance!

C Team showed what redemption looks like! After a tough previous match, they came out swinging and took the Falcons to THREE thrilling sets! Their serving was on fire, their teamwork was flawless, and the energy was absolutely contagious! What a comeback!

What an incredible night of volleyball at Euclid Middle School! Our teams brought their A-game and showed true sportsmanship on the court!

A Team was on fire, sweeping through the match in two decisive sets, showing off their teamwork, and determination. Huge congratulations for their dominant performance against the Falcons!

B Team started slow but bounced back! Overcoming some big point deficits, they dug deep, fought hard, and kept the energy up, turning the game around. Their resilience was truly inspiring!

C Team played with heart and grit, showing us all that they never give up. The only challenge? The mysterious 7th man—the Euclid ceiling! Unfortunately, the ceiling decided to interrupt a few powerful serves, but the C team kept their spirits high and played with passion, no matter what.

It was a thrilling night of volleyball. Our teams showed what it means to never give up, play with heart, and support one another! Way to go!!!!
