8^th GRADERS – please make sure you are checking our website and the website of the HS you are planning on attending for important HS dates you need to know!

Reminders:

The next student council meeting will be today in room 406 after school. Please plan on attending to organize for the dance. If you have any questions please see Mrs. J  Andrews or

Mrs. Jenkins.

The Round Table Equality Club will have an interest meeting Friday, September 30, at 7:00 a.m. in room 311. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Cohen.

Attention 8^th grade track members, please remember there is no practice today but we do have a meet tomorrow against Goddard.  Please get changed as quickly as possible and meet in the East parking lot to get on the bus.

Also, stop by Mr. Worsley or Mrs. Mack’s room if you would like to sign up for a particular event or if you know you will not be at the meet. 

OPEN ENROLLMENT for the district begins October 1^st.  Don’t forget, if you are a 6^th or 7^th grader open enrolled from out of the district to Newton, you will need to turn in an INTENT TO RENEW form. If you are an 8^th grader and want to attend an LPS high school that is not your home school – you will need to do an open enroll form for 9^th grade for the high school you wish to attend. THESE FORMS CAN BE FOUND ON THE DISTRICT WEBSITE BEGINNING OCT 1^st.
