EVEN Day Schedule

Attention all wrestlers, wrestling begins next Monday, October 2. Meet in the gym wearing your p.e. uniform with athletic shoes. If you are interested and want to see what wrestling is all about, please join us in the gym at that same time. We look forward to seeing all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, boys and girls, who want to give wrestling a shot. See you then.

8th Grade Lady Knights the count down for basketball season is on!!!!! There will be a brief informational meeting after school on Tuesday, October 3 in room 0529. Please make sure you have a ride home! You will meet the coaches and receive your schedule. Our first practice will be after school Wednesday, October 4. Can't make the meeting, no problem, swing by room 0529 for information!

A reminder for student council members. We have our next meeting on TODAY after school in 1511 Mrs. Sutton's room. We will listen to speeches for officer positions and continue planning events coming up! Please see our Google Classroom for new announcements and information. Hey Newton! TODAY is the day!! Join us for the No Name Club! There is no sign up needed, just come to the art room after school!! Come hang out with your friends, eat snacks, play games and make art! Please talk to Mrs. Winschuh or Ms. Andrews for more information.

Last night, Newton brought home a victory! Boys won third place and girls one FIRST!! First win in 21 years!!

Are you interested in getting outside this spring and running around with friends? Do you have a love for sports and having fun?! Well the club of Flag Football is the club for you. The first club meeting of the year will be TODAY at 3:35 in Ms. Seavall’s Room 0511. Meetings are approximately from 3:35-4:35 every Wednesday. Late buses will be available. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Seavall.

Attention all NJHS members, our next all member meeting will be TODAY after school in Ms. Seavall's room (0511). We will be collecting August and September hours, as well as voting on officer positions. Bring your signed hours sheets and we will see you there!

Attention Newton Staff, TODAY during Reading Block PBIS students will come to your classroom or office with a fabulous tray of goodies. You can exchange your neon yellow CODE cards for treats. There will be items worth 2 and 5 CODE cards.

Last night the 7th grade track team wrapped up their season over at Powell. It was a great event with lots of energy. The boys fought hard but fell just a little bit short. Great job fellas. Expectations are high for next year. Your 7th grade girls are this year's district champion as they swept all three schools. Way to go ladies! You're gonna do great things next year! Details on a pizza party coming soon.

Did you know that wrestling is the world's oldest competitive sport? Boys and girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade of all sizes are encouraged to participate. We look forward to seeing you on the mat on Monday, October 2.

Start collecting your CODE cards. The CODE shop is right around the corner. Thursday will be here before you know it. Have your cards ready to go, The CODE shop is open on Thursday during lunch time.

Attention student council members: we will have a planning meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 19th after school in 1133 Mrs. Jenkins room at 3:30pm. We will also discuss officer positions at this meeting. See Mrs. Jenkins or Mrs. Sutton with questions.

Wrestling develops agility, balance, reflexes and strength in every major muscle group and can dramatically improve one's ability to perform in other sports. First practice starts after school on Monday, October 2, we are looking forward to seeing you.

Attention all 8th graders. Today during Homeroom we will have a spirit assembly in the gym. Please remember to follow the CODE during the assembly and follow the directions of your teachers. You WILL bring your backpacks to be dismissed from the gym at the end of the day at 3:30pm.

Hey Newton! The No Name Club is back! Come join us Thursday after school in the art room. Hang out with friends, eat snacks, play games or draw! Please talk to Mrs. Winschuh or Ms. Andrews for more information.

Girls and Boys beat Euclid in Track last Thursday! We also have a meet at Goddard on Tuesday (tomorrow) afternoon if people want to come cheer us on!

Last night your 7th grade track team took on Goddard and what a meet it was! The boys team was in a close battle. The boys took first in 3 of the 4 field events and ended up winning by 9 points! Way to go boys!

The girls total was not as close. Newton took 1st in 12 of the 13 events as well as 2nd in 8 of the events. Your lady Knights won 93-21! Fantastic job girls!

Hey 6th graders! Are you ready to join track and field? There will be an informational meeting and paperwork for you TODAY at lunch. Sign up and get ready to run and jump!

Middle school students please be advised that any middle school student who is planning on attending the Arapahoe vs. Heritage game at LPS stadium tonight, will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, over the age of 21, in order to be admitted into the game and must have their current middle school student I.D. Students who do not have a parent or guardian (over the age of 21), will not be admitted into the game.
