Calling all spellers: The Newton Spelling Bee will be held on Monday, January 27 after school in the mini theater.  Participants need to arrange a ride home.  The winner of the Newton Bee will move on to compete in the district bee, which will be held on February 18th at 3:30 at Powell.  Everyone who is eliminated from oral bee will also have the opportunity to participate in the written bee, which will be held later in the week during knight time or homeroom.  Word lists and information can be found outside Mrs. Lacey's room, 206.  

Attention all fantasy footballers.  We are having our final meeting and awards ceremony today at 3:00 in Room 214.  See Mr. Atherton with questions.

 The deadline, January 31st, is fast approaching for families to take part in the grand Newton tradition of placing a Baby Ad in this year's yearbook. Flyers are available in the front office. If you have questions, see Mr. Cohen.

Attention all 7th grade boys interested in playing basketball for Newton!  There will be a 10-15 minute meeting TODAY, after school, in Mr. Worsley's room 110.  Please arrange for a ride afterwards.  If you can't come to the meeting, please see Mr. Worsley to find out about practice times and eligibility requirements.  All skill levels are welcome!

Attention WEB Leaders: The sixth grade WEB assembly has been rescheduled for TOMORROW.  WEB leaders will report to the gym at 1:50 pm tomorrow. Don't forget to wear your WEB t-shirt!

 There are several art projects on top of lockers – please take them home tonight or they will be thrown away!

Make sure you bring coats, hats, etc to lunch today, as it will be an outside day.
