8th grade Girls Basketball is just around the corner.  If you are interested in playing for Newton this year, there will be a brief informational meeting after school with Coach Conant in room 1372 on Wednesday, October 9th.  Make sure you have a ride home.  If you can't make the meeting stop by and see Ms. Timinski for a schedule.

6th Grade Track --- you have a meet TODAY after school

The Littleton stride is coming up in about a month. Our goal is to have 150 participants  run on behalf of Newton Middle School. Currently Newton Middle School is in first place in the entire district for number of people to have signed up. Our current total of 61 participants. Students remember - if you do sign up for the race have your parents email Mr. Wilmes or Ms. Ubrun and you will receive a code card for every person entered in your group that is running for Newton. If we get to our goal of 150 participants, right or wrong, Mr. Wilmes will run the race in a dress and Ms. Ubrun will run the race in a suit and tie. I'm sure that's something we all want to see. Get signed up today!

Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Newton the week of Oct 21-25th. The library is looking for volunteers to help with the Scholastic Book Fair.  If you are interested in helping out with the book fair please pick up an application in the library.  Applications are due by Monday, October 8th.
