Last night the 7th grade boys basketball teams played great!

  The 7th grade A team won 34-26 over Powell. Vincent C led

the team in scoring and Cass H doninated the boards.

Powell’s b team hit a 3 pointer to take the lead with 11 seconds

left but Gavin L drove the court, sunk a layup, was fouled  and

made the free throw with 1.5 seconds left to give Newton the win,

17-15. What a finish!!

Newton’s c team played hard but lost to powell.  Mason R led the

team in scoring in the final game.  Our next game is next Monday

at home. Please come root our teams on!

January 23, 2019 -- ODD Day Schedule

Congratulations to Newton’s boys basketball

for last night’s games versus Euclid. The 8th

graders brought home 3 wins! A-team’s top

scorer was Andrei C with 15 points to add

to the team’s 41-25 win. B-team’s Kyle H

was top scorer with his 8 points contributing to

the team’s overall 41-15 win. Sean M and

Cole L led C-team with 12 and 10 points and

Jake H made a game-winning 3-pointer in the

last second of overtime to win 25-24. Great job, Knights!

All teams remember that you play at Powell after school

TODAY; change out and be at the bus in the East parking

lot as soon as possible.
